Research is the heart and soul of Expat in Croatia.
Absolutely everything we do comes down to triple-checked detailed research which involves searching government sites, combing through laws, calling and emailing government offices and sometimes, even showing up in person to badger for information.
Then we vet that information with Croatian professionals like notary publics, lawyers, real estate agents, tax advisors, accountants, entrepreneurs or people on the street (usually for insight into cultural nuance). It all depends on the topic.
While we have a tremendous amount of free resources on this site, sometimes people are in need of something very specific to their situation.
We can research anything your heart desires – as it relates to Croatia. This is what we do day in and day out, so there are few things we cannot find.
Here is a sample of topics we’ve researched for our clients:
Examples of research we can perform:
We will evaluate what you are looking for and ask any follow up questions, as needed, to get the most holistic view of your objectives.
Based on that assessment, we’ll let you know what is possible and how long we expect it to take. A small deposit will be due to get started – paid by credit card or bank transfer.
Once completed, research will be organized and delivered to you in PDF format. Final payment will be due at that time.
You can read reviews from people we have helped below.
Research is 60 euros per hour including PDV. A small deposit must be prepaid to begin the research. Amount of deposit depends on the volume of research to be done.
We also offer packages that include free hours for prepayment. List of packages can be provided on request.
To get started, please complete the below form so we can learn what type of information you seek. A member of our team will reach out to fill out the picture of your needs.
Based on that conversation, we will determine how we can help and the associated cost. Then we will let you know the cost and next steps so you can make a decision on how you’d like to move forward.

So far I have only had a consulting session with Sara but it was excellent and all of my questions were answered and I feel totally confident with the information provided. I was also given additional website links after the session so that I could find extra information. I felt totally at ease with Sara who came across as not only a very professional person but very personable. I would most certainly recommend Expat in Croatia to anybody else for whatever assistance they needed, and intend to use the services of a vetted professional in due course.
Consulting, Introduced to a Professional
My sister and I are working on our Croatian citizenship via our heritage and cannot be more thankful for Expat in Croatia. Lorena was able to connect us with the immigration attorney who helped guide us through the process. I highly recommend connecting with this website as they offer a variety of helpful services.
Introduced to a Professional
There was a 6 month wait at the consulate to get an appointment to submit my application, in addition to the time it takes to actually process the application, so this can be a lengthy process. With that in mind, I feel confident my application is without error – thanks to Expat In Croatia and their legal network. They really took the uncertainty out of the process, and demonstrated the highest level of professionalism from start to finish, which included locating a 19th century birth certificate. In addition to this, their website is probably the most comprehensive resource on the internet. Expat In Croatia will make a genuine effort to help you, and they know what they’re doing.
