Hrvatska pošta, the Croatian post office, has changed the rules for mail delivery as well as post office opening hours in response to the coronavirus epidemic to protect both residents and their employees. If you are expecting a package, it may take longer than expected. Below are the new rules announced by Pošta about what residents can expect going forward with regards to mail delivery as well as how to find out the new opening hours for your local post office.

New opening hours for post office locations

Hrvatska pošta has updated their web site to include the new opening hours for each of their locations across the country. From May 2, Saturday service will be restored to 214 locations. From May 4, 25 temporarily closed post offices will be reopened.

You can search their locations on their web site in English here. The latest opening hours for all locations can also be downloaded here.

It is important to note that from March 18, there are new requirements for how to “behave” in a post office. According this release from HP:

“The number of users who can be in the post office at the same time is determined by the number of workers who work at that moment. If there are two counters working in the post office in that office, there can only be two users at a time, while everyone else needs to wait outside the front door. In the post office it is important to keep a distance between them when providing services.”
