“dan po dan”
Meaning: day by day
Definition: flag, banner
Example: Hrvatska zastava je trobojna. ~ The Croatian flag is tricolor.
Week of August 22
Meaning: best friend
Usage: Use najbolji prijatelj for masculine friend and najbolja prijateljica for feminine friend
Example: Hodaj sporo. ~ Walk slowly.
Week of August 15
Meaning: pine forest
Definition: to suffer
Example: Dugo je patila. ~ She suffered for a long time.
Week of August 8
Meaning: safe travels
Definition: nice, lovable, likable
Example: On je tako simpa(tičan)! ~ He is so lovable!
Week of August 1
“Znamo li se?”
Meaning: Do I know you?
Definition: beach, shore
Example: Idemo na plažu. ~ Let’s go to the beach.
